Wow, in looking back nobody read my early stuff! Not even a comment on my "I see Hot Cows"!!!! My youngest daughter, pinkevilkitty, made a comment and the first nonfamily to comment on my "Red Ritas" was free spirit. Back then, it took a while to be found in the Stream!!! Nobody read my early posts, although someone did go back and read my very first one "Elvis Gave Me a Dirty Look."

My first post was critical of the way FEMA managed the Katrina disaster. I received only one comment on it from a lurker, and I deleted it. My second post received one comment from verbosa, a 29-year old female from Massachusetts.
Yes, I'm okay, Pup... it was pretty scary yesterday, though! We were all sent home from work due to Tropical Storm Ernesto being stalled over our area, and the flood waters were rising fast. Two of three roadways to get to my house were already closed off, and I was afraid I couldn't get home, even with my 4x4 truck... the water was just too deep. I sorta closed my eyes and crossed my fingers going the third way home, and luckily, I made it. Such is the cost for living at Sea Level during hurricane season!

First to comment on my blog was Coloconnect, or as I affectionately refer to her; Ms C. From there it has been a fantastic journey shared with so many of you. I've spent a lifetime learning magic but it wasn't until I found the Stream that I REALLY gained the perspective I've spent years searching for.
Well I've had so many names, why can't we go through life being who we want to be? But I figure the most influentual are MindPower, coloconnect, Lucy, Capn. Morgan and Doria. There are more days ahead for me on blogstream and one day I hope to be as equally inspiring. TS

T, I found Blogstream by doing a google search for blog sites. I looked under the hood, kicked the tires, and liked the sound of the engine. I was test driving another site at the same time, but found Blogstream to be the most user friendly all the way around.
I was just looking for a place to blog and Blogstream came up on Google, I did not know it was a new place or anything or even what my blog would be like. What I found was a very easy to use and friendly place and I closed down a blog I had opened up somewhere else...not a good vibe for me there. And I ran into some strange people on the Stream but the few negative ones were over shadowed by all the good ones, the positive ones and the very fun ones.
People like you and Marc, Miss Six, Puppy and Ice, Rita B, Truth Seeker, Wayfarer, Colo, Daisy, ^BELLE^, Scratch and so many really interesting individuals.
Blogstream to me is a fine community and is a place I am delighted to be part of.

What a great idea Six!!!! Hmmm I'll have to look way back on my blog to see what my first comment was. If I am not online during your party on Monday I hope it is a blast and I pray there will be no one who embarasses themself by flirting and doing naughty things in the closet or down by the water cooler and getting naked and making copies of theur various body parts on the copier and...ooops wait that's what I want to do at the party. Eeeeek!!!

So I went along until I found one where someone commented! - Prank was my very first comment on 10/5 The next post it was Sratch and Ice on 10/6. What an interesting year it's been...I found Blogstream just about two weeks after it started, looking for an easy and straightforward place to set up a blog...this was it! Miss Six, the first comment I received was from Prank...thanks, man...he commented that DVDs offered better long term value than strippers, and that I wrote well...solid advice and a compliment that helped keep me cranking out the words. This is a great place with lots of interesting folks...I'm not the most gregarious guy, but I feel I've gotten to know a few of you...thanks for your words, your images, your comments, your good wishes in tough times, and especially to Pioneer for setting up this fine site! Well... looks like some mighty good work going on here. My first commenter, and yes, I had a little trouble getting aloft too, was from a somewhat troubled lady name of "crueltattoo" who wrote really intense stuff about her life. She left after a short period and I've always wondered if she might show back up. She was a really good writer.
One of my earliest commenters was "The River Rat," and don't give up on me RR... I haven't tired of your poetry (or those great pictures).
We just got back from the city tonight and since I journeyed with my oldest son to my home town today (220 miles round trip) - plus also back home tonight (265 miles) - I've been in a truck most of the day and the ground seems to "still be moving" under my feet.
Hopefully I'll be rested for the BlogParty tomorrown..

I first came to Blogstream on December 11, 2005. I was visiting "Tara Hunt's" Blog (Life Uncommon) on E-Blog as she had just returned from Paris after attending a Bloggers Convention and one of the Blogs she had listed was Blogstream, among hundreds. I liked the word Stream, so I came over here. (???)
I don't remember who my first visiters were. I know I had him favored and did visit a few times, then didn't see him around. I have a feeling he is still here. The other I don't remember the name, as she visited once and soon after, I didn't see her around.
They may both still be here..?
On that same day my third visiter was Colo. I would have to say for the first month that Colo read all of my posts and always left a comment. Sometimes twice a day. I felt the "Coloconnection" right away as I sensed her sincerity and that connection remains strong. I call her Friend!!! Love you girl!!!
